Popular Round Top-based Mandito’s Tex-Mex may be opening a Katy location this winter. The restaurant recently filed the project with the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration to open its second Houston-area location.

Kiku Ramen + Boba is expected to come to Stableside located at the intersection of Gaston Road and Falcon Landing Boulevard in Katy, according to an April 10 press release from Houston-based commercial real estate company NewQuest Properties.

Popular burrito joint Freebirds World Burrito will soon be opening a new location in Katy. On Aug. 30, NewQuest Properties announced Freebirds has leased a spot in the Stableside shopping center near Gaston Road and Falcon Landing Boulevard.

Never have we ever worked so hard on an installation. This massive project for NewQuest Properties put our abilities to the test and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. All in all it took us 71 hours and we used 27 gallons of paint. There are twelve murals in total, spanning two separate corridors of the new Stableside at Falcon Landing shopping center. Six live on one end of the center and six live on the other, so almost no matter how you enter the shopping center you are faced with color. Our goal was to transform the beige walls and create playful and happy murals that draw visitors into the shopping center.
